I first grew interested in finger labyrinths some years ago as a part of my own meditation and prayer practice. While I loved using the finger labyrinths available at the time, I yearned for something with a more timeless feel and appearance.

Already familiar with the qualities of soapstone, I grew convinced that this warm and inviting material would prove ideal for labyrinths. Since no soapstone labyrinths were available, I began to experiment with the stone myself. I carved dozens of labyrinths with different techniques (and many mistakes!) before arriving at what you see on this site. All along, my aim was to have a labyrinth to use for my daily meditation time.

The enthusiastic responses of family and friends have inspired me to offer Blue Moon Labyrinths as an artform which I hope can help you to draw deeper into the meditation experience.

I carve labyrinths in my spare time, and find the carving to be a natural outgrowth of my primary vocation. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychophysiologist, and work at a local hospital using mind/body principles to help children handle stress and pain more effectively.

I am a Trained Labyrinth Facilitator by Veriditas, and can lead your group in labyrinth walks, workshops, and retreats. Contact me for details.
